Hi all!
My 91 Integra's factory radio just gave up on me. A friend gave me an old (aftermarket) radio to throw in. The problem I'm having is that the 8 or so wires coming out of the replacement radio are color coded differently from the wires in the car. I have figured out what all the colored wires on the replacement radio represent, but don't know which wire corresponds to the different ones in the car. Could someone give me a listing of what each of the colored wires should be connected to? Thanks! |

Radio Shack and most Kragen/Checker auto parts stores have wiring harnesses that will correspond to the aftermarket stereo and plug right into your factory harness. You could also just use it to figure out which wires correspond with which and not use the plugs, but it's only like $10..... -- Chris |

I'll take a look at Radio Shack tomorrow. Thanks, Chris! |

What's your aftermarket brand? I avoided the factory radio off the
bat on my '90 and installed a Kenwood cassette AM/FM. The wiring shouldn't be that different (I've the factory manuals). Kenwood is the best I've experienced. Run a cleaner tape through every 2d-3rd year .. . flawless. It's never shred a tape or anything and here it is 2003. Guess my guess in 1990 was right. Give me your brand. Bill "E.
