No real changes, it will only go through a re-design when the Civic does.
In 2003 the only additions were the Aero package, centre storage between the front seats, and climate control in the Premium model. Expect about the same this year. It should be out by early November. I got my '03 in mid November last year as soon as they arrived. Take a look at the 2004 Civic on Honda's web site. I don't see a re-design.
Do you? Maybe I'm missing something. It added some features that may see their way onto the EL, but the body hasn't changed. Thus my comment about the EL. It should have changes in features, but not in styling, but I could be wrong. I doubt the current EL body style could be modified to make it look like the TSX. Let's not forget, this is a Canada only model. Would Acura spend the kind of money to radically change the EL if the Civic wasn't changing? Cookie cutter car manufacturing it is. My opinion, not yours, Rick "Emmanuel Cassidy" <neoxide@aei.ca> wrote in message news:BB8FEC30.241%neoxide@aei.ca... > On 9/18/03 8:43 PM, in article Pisab.212$I36.156@pd7tw3no, "RiCK" > <eBayJunkieNOSPAM@shaw.ca> wrote: > > > No real changes, it will only go through a re-design when the Civic does. > > In 2003 the only additions were the Aero package, centre storage between the > > front seats, and climate control in the Premium model. Looks good, but it looks like the nose was switched off, and the body is the
same. I don't see a difference except for the nose. I'd love to see a photo of this rear end that has gotten more attention than J Lo's booty.. I'm not a fan of these cars.. when the civic is all brand new I'll take
notice. I suppose if the styling change appeals to you it's a plus but in this city I see so many souped up Civics with body kits, it's like every one I see is different.. At least Honda updates their engines and powertrains on a regular basis (not like GM with their 3.8 L V6 which is one of the only pushrod engines left). In the Car and Driver econobox comparo (can't remember what month) Protege, Elantra and Corolla placed ahead of the Civic. Main reason I avoided Civic/EL in my used car search was the high theft rate and $600 a year higher insurance premium. And much more. But for the high theft rate?? Is that for the EL??? That would explain my rate !! |

Take a look at the above photo. The nose is different, but you can tell that the back can't be radically different. The tail light profile is the same. Are there any photos of the back end? I didn't see them. And this link from the same page shows that there is "mild exterior refreshing" this fall, whatever that is, and a re-design is happening for both the EL and the Civic in 2005. http://www.vtec.net/modelmatrix/ RiCK "Emmanuel Cassidy" <neoxide@aei.ca> wrote in message news:BB94E85D.292%neoxide@aei.ca... > On 9/19/03 6:40 PM, in article QBLab.1408$I36.1292@pd7tw3no, "RiCK" > <eBayJunkieNOSPAM@shaw.ca> wrote: > > > Looks good, but it looks like the nose was switched off, and the body is the > > same.
