With a car that old, I'm wondering if you've changed from dino oil to
synthetic in the past year or so. Cars produced prior to '95 and still on the road that have been using dino oil for some time will build "deposit homes" in the cylinder wall scratches and seals in order to protect your engine. Synthetic oils that are introduced into a vehicle that has been running on dino oil will seek out the older oil "leftovers" and remove them from your seals, cylinder walls and gaskets. My guess if you are still on dino oil you need to through in Restore or some other engine sealant/flusher... |
