Whining sound - bearing on alternator or vacuum leak ?
I have a sound emanating from the intake manifold / alternator area. The
sound is a bit like a whistling vacuum leak. I thought it could be the bearing of the alternator whining. I used some xylene carb spray to see if the RPM would increase when sprayed in the area but the test was inconclusive. The car is a 95 Teg 4dr. LS Any ideas appreciated. David
