The chrome muffler on my RSX has a few stains/discoloration. Is there a
spray-on product I could use to clean it? I tried using some tire rim cleaner
but that didn't have any noticable effect.

Do I have to buy one of those chrome polish products?

Chrome polish if it's chrome (or perhaps even rubbing compound first),
aluminum polish if it's al.
