Between a 2000-02 RL & TL, which do you prefer and why? I've been lurking
and gathering all info possible on these two Acura marks as one will be my
first purchase. Is the transmission problem confined to the TL or is it
inherent in all marks?

My overall preference is the TL type S. The RL is a very nice car in its own
right. If I were on the road alot I would probably go with the RL as it has
a very smooth ride and really good quality with few problems. The tranny
thing you mentioned is more or less confined to the TL and the CL although
the RL had some early teething problems back in 96-98. For the money though
you just can't beat the TL-S in my opinion. Dealers are having trouble
getting TL-S's now as the new model will be out soon so look for the price
to be inflated or actually look for the price to be firm on the Type S but
the standard TL we can get readily.
