Default HIDs for '03 RSX

I just purchased a 2003 RSX. I'd like to install HIDs on it as soon as
possible. I'm looking to install Philips 4100K's. However, I have a few
questions and need some advice.

What do the preceding numbers mean in the model numbers? I assume it's
the size/type of bulb. What model will fit my RSX? Also, can you point
me to hard evidence that it will fit (I don't want to spend $500 and
find out that the guy I trusted on the internet was wrong).

H1 4100K
H4 4100K
H7 4100K
9005 4100K
9006 4100K
9007 4100K

Any suggestions on where to buy a kit?

Thanks guys!

Todd

The preceding numbers are the bulb type. RSX definitely has H1 low beam
bulbs. As long as you get HID's with the H1 prefix, it should fit.

Look at the H1 4K conversion kit at the sale price of $399.00.
http://www.xenondepot.com/INTorderonlineUSD.html I'm pretty sure Club RSX
links their patrons to XenonDepot.

The FAQ section titled "Are these XENON HID light systems street legal?"
should probably be read before ordering the kit:

The HIDs on the 2000 TL don't do any leveling.

On 8/2/03 1:43 PM, in article 9DTWa.1794$ug.201@lakeread01, "Scott A. Bregi"

The DOT approved setups require a new lens as well as the HID bulb itself.
Kits that comply with FMVSS 108 and CMVSS 108 are available at
http://www.brightheadlights-hid.com/HID_HEADLIGHTS.htm, but none is
available for the RSX (at least not yet).

Mercedes and other Europeans are requiresd to have auto leveling in europe,
but not here (even though Mercedes and I guess others have the auto levelers
on the cars sent to the U.S.).

I wonder if people are being ticketed when using properly aimed 4300K HID's
even if the reflector is inapropriate?

Default Re: HIDs for '03 RSX

Where I live they would be given 48 hours to reinstall the original bulbs
and they would probably be ticketed as well. People usually get caught
because another driver complained of too much glare or were
the cause of an accident.

If properly aimed (good instructions can be found at
http://www.sylvania.com/xenarc/pdfs/x2020man.pdf), there should be no
problem at all. Also there should be no light above the line coming from the
left of each beam. If there is, then oncoming drivers will be glared. Other
good information on aiming and modifications to reduce glare can be found at
http://faq.auto.light.tripod.com/car-tested-retro.htm.
