I am now on my third transmission in my 2002 TL-S. I know many others
are experiencing major transmission problems with the TL. Has anyone taken action action against Acura or their dealer under the lemon law. I was thinking of doing so and wanted to get some advice. |

Call your State Attorney's office to find out if your state has a
lemon law. If so, you should be able to find out what the terms and conditions are in order for you to be able to invoke the law and start with the proceedings. Good luck. I own a 2002 TL Type S, it has 34k miles and recently it seems transmission
started slipping. What happens at times is when I hit the gas the engine revs up and I don't move then all of sudden it kicks in and wheels screech and off I go. Other times I come to a stop and when I start out the car doesn't move. I take my foot off the gas and then it starts to go forward. Is this what you are experiencing. It sounds pretty bad... especially I was thinking about getting a
leftover 03'. But hope it is not tuned into a sport mode... that wheel spin sounds like a manual 'd drop clutch.. I know I know...all TL got auto.. anyay,.. I think as long as they replaced tranny for you, you don't have a good argument to sue them. I 'd worry that how many more mileages is your new tranny warranted. I 'd least demand a conditional warranty on the new tranny ...says 50k from where/when it was replaced. Or you 'd expect an expensive cost if it fails again after the warranty. vaman <vaman22309@aol.com> wrote: : I own a 2002 TL Type S, it has 34k miles and recently it seems transmission : started slipping.
