Default HID Question

Do Acuras, Lexus or Mercedes with HID's also have high beam HID's or just
the low beams? I want to put HID's on my RSX-S, but it would cost about
$1000.00 for high and low beams.

Thanks,

Dave M..

Thanks for that information! Now I shouldn't be wasting my <> $500.00.

My 330i has "bi-xenons". High and low. There seems to be another
halogen bulb in there for something - maybe DRL's???

It may be to give you the ability to "flash" your lights. The problem with
HID lights is that they are NOT "instant on", it takes time for them to fire
off. This would make most of them too slow for a quick flash of the lights.

But, are the bi-xenons a separate bulb for the low and high beams. A
Mercedes dealer told me there is a mirror to redirect the light for high and
low beams, implying there is one bulb per side for the headlights.

That's a good point. However, the last time I tried to flash my lights was
with a Toyota with DRL's.

Looks like one but I'd need a hammer to be sure!
