Default Suggestions about header pipe?

Hi, I have a 1986 Integra RS with 134K miles on it.
I just replaced the rear two pieces of the exhaust system,
and I notice the first header pipe with the flexy section is getting kinda
old.

The pipe parts look okay, but the flexy stainless steel wires are beginning
to bulge out a bit at the front top.
Probably not too many more miles of life in it I expect.

I call up an auto parts place and they want $170 for one!
I realize that stainless steel isnt cheap, but is there some alternative,
like maybe replacing jsut the flexy section with a clamp on flexible exhaust
pipe?

The whole car is getting rather rusty so I don't think it's a good
investment to
spend $170 on the [pipe, unless it's the only option.

Any ideas appreciated, especially from those that have actually tried them!

Regards,

George
