Default What did you pay for your MDX?

I realized that my question will probably yield a wide variety of answers
dependent on region and different negotiation prowess.

I'm in a market for a 2003 Acura MDX with Touring Package and Navigational
system.

MSRP is $41,000 (Including Destination Charge)
Invoice is $36,982.00 (Include Destination Charge)
Dealer Holdback is 3% of base MSRP or $1,215.

Anyway... My offer to my local dealership was $39,000 or a profit of $3,233
for them. A 8.74% profit. Their counter offer was $40,000.

For those who have bought MDX w/ Navigation system - what did you paid for
yours and/or in your opinion, do you think $40,000 is a fair price?

I personally don't think it's that great of a price that's why I went to
look at the Sequoia 4x4 Limited. For about the same price the Sequoia seems
to be a better value but I really like the Navi system in the MDX.
Anyway... any thoughts is appreciated.

You may want to look at the Honda Pilot as it is essentaily the same thing,
less dressed up and cheaper as well.

We bought a 2003 MDX with touring package and nav. system in April.
MSRP was $41,000.
The dealer immediately offerred it to us for $40,000.
But they threw in side molding, front trim, rear spoiler, fender
flares, cargo cover, and chrome side steps.
Looks very sharp and we love it :-)

We thought it was more like around $2500 worth of goodies that they
threw in and installed. We wouldn't have bought the MDX without them.
We feel the plain exterior just needs that extra "umph" to dress it up
a bit and make it stand out from the crowd. The add-ons look very
sharp on our redrock color. The nav system is a blast...even if you
only want to tell it to "go home". The only dislike so far is getting
it into the garage...only clears each side by a couple of inches.
