Can it be purchased after market? About how much? Worth it? I'm buying a
used '98, and may want to add one.

There are sevearl aftermarket GPS systems from the Garmin GPS V and StreetPilot
III which sit on the dash to the in dash CD and DVD units (similar to the Hertz
NeverLost system). The GPS V is about $350. StreetPilot about $900 and the in
dash units run from $1500 to $2000. My preference would be the in dash DVD
version.

The system in the Acura is made by Alpine. It it far and away easier to use
than most of the other systems. Crutchfield.com lists two systems, an
Alpine ($1699) and a Kenwood ($2199) as suitable for an Acura TL. They are
both DVD based.
