Default THE NEWS IS IN ON TRANNY!

Well well I got my Acura TL back!

Remember the tranny issue...........recall issue!

Anyways the results are!

Turns out after a careful investigation there was a brand new tranny
installed, and it currently only has 13,000kms on it. So tranny wasn't
really the issue, however, the recall was complete by way of some type of
kit to second gear inspection.

So what was all the problem!

replaced two sensors.

Cost $800.00.

I'm happy vehicle is running great.

Now Tegger, I have another issue!

The car will not play cd's.......let me explain more thoroughly! Radio works
fine. The cd player will not take cd's in and does not attempt to play any
cd's.
Screen shows ErE1 I think!

Is there a fuse for just cd player?
Ideas?

Thanks

Excellent! Way better than $2,500 for a new tranny.

Did this just start after you got the car back?

Also, please give the /exact/ error code, including any spaces between the
characters.

There are a number of very similar codes, so this can get confusing.

ERROR CODE READS AS FOLLOWS.
As well this is error as soon as I push CD button. When I put cd in nothing
happens at all.

Er-E1

I don't know if this happened prior to bringing to garage because I just
bought vehicle and it went to garage immediately.

My guess would be it was like this prior to visit to garage.

Battery disconnection isn't the problem here.

Is there a CD stuck in the six-CD magazine?

ER-E1 is a mechanical problem; ER-E2 is a stuck CD. But you never know what
unanticipated problem might crop up.

Remove the #9 fuse from the under-dash fuse box, leave it out for 1 minute,
then put it back.

If the same error comes back, the unit is mechanically defective. This is
VERY common, and there is no extended warranty. Honda does not seem to have
spent much money on the audio system.

Frankly, you're better off using your iPod with one of those transmitters
that plays the iPod through the radio.

I'm not sure if your radio has an AUX input.
Your Owner's Manual will tell.

If it does, you can use an "Aux Input Adapter":
<http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&biw=1721&bih=902&q=ipod+radi o+aux+input+adapter&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=>

If no AUX input available, you can use a device
that plugs into the cigarette lighter and plays
the iPod through an unused channel on the radio.
<http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&biw=1721&bih=878&q=ipod+rad io+transmitter&aq=3&aqi=g10&aql=&oq=ipod+radio&gs_ rfai=>
My wife has one of the Griffin units. I forget which one.

Any car audio place should be able to sell you what you need.
They'll also know if you have an AUX input.
