Those are just trim levels. GSR is the fastest one listed go with that and drop a type R engine in and you're good to go. I personally prefer the headlights on the LS.

Aw come on, I get a thumbs down for saying the same thing as sean only fumbling on the headlights? You people are fickle! Fickle I say!

Contrary to what Raider said, they all have the same headlights. They are, however, all just trim levels. The RS I believe is the lowest trim, with the least options (cloth seats, etc.) and a 140hp 1.8L non-VTEC. The LS was the next step up, which was basically an RS with the available options. The GS-R was the higher trim model, having a 180hp (I think, I could be wrong, it could be like 175hp) 1.8L VTEC engine. This car is quicker than the LS/RS, and has the highest trim options yet, and is only available in a manual transmission in the US. The Type R is the more race/speed oriented model, having a 197hp 1.8L VTEC engine, less options, cloth sport seats that are more supportive than any of the lower trim levels, and a stiffer suspension. It also has a lip spoiler and a rear wing along with 5 lug wheels, larger brakes, and I think a few other little things to reduce weight and increase performance. It also is only available in manual.

40 hp bump on top end models, with absolutely no torque what so ever, slow!

assuming we're takling about the 94-2001 teggys:

type R- 197HP vtec engine (b18c5). it has a stiffer suspension and chassis and is very hard to find...which is why you're not finding one on craigs list.

GSR- 170HP vtec engine (b18c1). aside from the engine the only difference between this one and the LS is a spoiler and a few cosmetics and interior items.

LS- 140HP engine (b18b1).

RS- same engine as the LS just a lower trim of cosmetics. roll down windows, no sun roof, no power locks, etc.

@ T-4 : so a 197 HP, i4, normally aspirated car that can pull a 14.7 quarter mile is slow? Whatever you say... Btw your more "tq heavy" cars need 2 or even 4 more cylinders, or turbo chargers, to do what Honda can do with a 4 cylinder engine. TQ gets you started, horsepower gets you going fast... And it's relative to drag coefficient, weight, and a bunch of other factors that the cars that you have a hard on for could never excel in.
