Default used 2005 Acura RSX... 7K is this a good deal?

Looking at a used car from a mechanic that I usually do business with for many years. It's a black two door Acura RSX 2005 with all leather interior. And about 70,000 miles on it. He got it from a customer who was going to get it fixed but instead ended up buying another car, the car will be restored to like new condition when I buy it and he generally has a good track record with cars obviously.

The price will be 7000 dollars (after I trade in my current car that has a trade in value of 1k) with a sort of personal warranty that comes with the fact that I'm buying it from my mechanic. Is this a good deal?

It's a VERY nice car. Seems to me $7k is a little high.

OTOH I had an Integra that got destroyed in a rear-ender with 155,000 miles on it, but the engine was like brand new. I totally loved that car, and I'd probably still be driving it today! The insurance company gave me $7,500! So maybe $7K for an RSX is not so bad.

Look around for comparables. KBB is not so useful for a car like this because they're so desirable people are willing to pay more for them than the KBB number.
