Default My 97 Acura Integra engine got louder when my friend installed my water pump. what can that be?

I notice when he was adjusting/aligning and putting back the timing belt. i heard something pop, like something inside my car engine broke. Now my engine sounds like there's broken peaces inside.

help please, because it's really loud and annoying every time i start my car...

There is a part called the timing belt tensioner. It's just a little arm with a pulley on the end. If this was not tightened to proper torque specs, it could be loose, causing you timing belt to just kinda flap around in there. That would be my first guess. It could also be a bad pulley bearing, or the new water pump itself. Stop driving the car and get it checked out. Do not let that timing belt break. You will be supremely bummed.
