Default what car should i get between an Acura or Bmw? Why?

im thinking of buying a used car within the next couple of months, im narrowing my choices between Acura TSX, or TL or a BMW 3 series, 325,328 or 330... im budgeting around 18,000 tops and have almost 8K dollars which im thinking of using as a down payment...

any suggestions, tips, or advice? which one would be better?

they are both great cars-

I personally own a 06 tsx, bought new 11/06. It has 6MT with nav. I replaced the tires at 74,000 miles, the battery was replaced under warranty at 92,000 miles. It still has the original brake pads and rotors and runs excellent. I have all the service done by a acura dealer I trust. The car now has 103,000 problem free miles.

I prefer Honda/Acura. My mom had a 2001 BMW that crapped out at 90k. Also, because buying a used car you should be figuring maintenance costs. A BMW is not cheap to fix.

i would go for a loaded tsx at your budget

tl is better if you want the type-s model but that cost 28k and up 2006-08 models

bmw parts are expensive to replace and scheduled services are very pricey

so just get a tsx

You shouldn't be looking at either of them with such a low budget, honestly. To get a decent BMW or Acura you will spend a good deal more than that, because otherwise you're buying something several years old. That, to me, just screams "I want a BMW, but have the budget for a Ford Fiesta" when I see someone driving with a 10 year old BMW with a temp tag on it.
