The belt on my car is squealing. Any ideas? My brother says to put some lubricant on it and it should stop. I started it today and watched the belt. It seems like it is definitely rubbing on something because it only starts to make noise after a few minutes of running. Something is causing more than normal levels of friction. The belt doesn't look worn out. I have owned it for 3 years and no problems. Never touched it. Could the belt be too tight/too loose?
