I have a new 2010 tl white, and was wondering if i should get the window tinted.. and how dark/light should the tinted window be? Thanks

Get it tinted, it will look good and your car will stay cool on hot summer days. Get it as dark as your state legally allows or just a little bit lighter to be on the safe side should you get pulled over.

Maximum darkness is regulated by your state's laws. Tints are rated by percent transmission. 35% is fairly light, 28% is medium and 20% is quite dark. With dark tints, it will be difficult to see when you back up at night or inside a parking garage. Be sure to go to an experienced shop and pay for a premium film that has a lifetime warranty. The cheap stuff turns purple and bubbles.































Most cars have UV reflective glass so interior fading is less of a problem. Tinting will keep the interior cooler, especially in a hot sunny climate like Las Vegas.

Keep in mind it'll look like crap in a couple years.

Well, depending on which state you live in, the % of legal tint will vary. http://www.tintlaws.com/ I think 30-35% would look very good, 20% would also look good, but it's harder to see when it's very dark. Do your research, make sure you get a high quality brand tint, and make sure it has a warranty...lifetime is ideal.

To me it makes a car look trashy. Like a gangbangers car.
