Are you hitting your clutch properly? Id make a verification or follow some troubleshooting steps to ensure the clutch is functioning properly and the linakges are ok. Also you might wanna try doing the same for the shifter. If the problems persists bring it into a garage for an opinion.

I could be several things. The clutch, pressure plate or throw-out bearing could be

wore out. Also there could be slack in the shift linkage.

Check your clutch Hydraulic master cylinder and see if it has the proper

fluid level, it requires brake fluid. Once you have filled the reservoir

pump the clutch pedal about a dozen times, if the pedal starts to feel as

though it is getting greater resistance then you will have found your

problem. If the reservoir is full and the pedal feels the same as usual

and not sloppy the problem will be with your clutch components not

wanting to release with the engine running and the reasons for this are

numerous and will require a new clutch set installed along with the

flywheel being resurfaced!

1. Clutch hydraulics need to be bled.

2. Clutch master and slave need to be replaced

3. Clutch is worn out.

Those are indications of the clutch dragging, and rather badly. The formal test is this:

Start the engine with the transmission in reverse and the clutch held down. Without letting up on the clutch, shift into neutral and try to shift right back into reverse. If it resists with a grinding of gears the clutch is dragging. If it passes that test, repeat the procedure but let the clutch up for a second or so while in neutral, then depress the clutch again and try to shift into reverse. If that is difficult, with prolonged grinding of the gears, but eventually succeeds you need to ensure the lube level in the gearbox is okay.

Assuming the clutch is dragging, the clutch will have to be replaced. The most common cause is not wear but is rust of the input shaft and / or of the splined center of the clutch disk, causing the disk to ride against the pressure plate or flywheel when it should be floating freely between them. The other possibility is that something is jamming the clutch. In Acuras that often means one of the springs is trying to pop out of its cage - see the first source. That was what happened to my son's 1994 Acura. His clutch did not drag much but had a metallic scraping sound (the spring rubbing against the pressure plate or flywheel) when the clutch was depressed.
