I reside in Hawaii where the tempurature is about 80-90 degrees. Its a rebuilt motor with 110,000 miles. My friend say 5W-30 but I think it's 10W-30. Any recommendations for the brand of oil?

yup i say 10W-30 but u should check under your hood their is a sticker there and it says what kind of oil is needed, and for the brand i would recommend syntech from castrol or mobile 1 they are both really good

My 2000 LS uses 5w-30. the cap where you add oil should have it written on it. if not it'll be in your owner's manual.
