is there a way to do it? i mean can you tell me what i need to do this and an estimate on how much it might cost me

there's a number of solutions to that problem. you can buy a FM transmitter then connect it to your ipod. you set the frequency and your radio picks up whatever you're playing on that frequency. you can probably get one for 20 bucks or less. the downside is, since you're using radio frequencies, the sound quality isn't as good. plus you're prone to interference from other radio signals.































the other solution is to buy an auxillary jack for your ipod. it's a cable that you connect to your car's head unit. the cable itself can be anywhere from less than 5 bucks to more than 10, depending on the brand, but the thing is your car's head unit (radio) needs to have an auxillary input for the jack. '97 models typically don't have this as stock equipment, so you'll need to buy a new head unit, which will set you back anywhere from 150-350 bucks. but, the quality is much better with an aux jack - whatever quality your audio file is, that's the quality that you hear out your speakers.

The only way to connect your IPod with a car that old is with a FM transmitter. You can get one at any Radio Shack for around $20..

If your current deck has an aux input, then you can just buy a headphone adapter that feeds into your deck from the ipod headphone jack. If you're current stereo deck doesn't have this feature, then you're gunna have to go buy a new deck that has the aux input feature so that you can plug in your ipod, cellphone, mp3 player etc. Or just get a FM transmitter thingy but the sound quality is gunna lack. So doing the connection to your stereo deck via aux input is the best option.
