I am looking for a preowned Acura TSX. I walked into the showroom today and they showed me an ACURA TSX 2009 with tech package. Bbut the problem was that it is a "loaner car" which means it is owned by the dealer, and is given out when someone temporarily needs a car and things like that. It has some 17,000 miles on it. They are offering it for me like 27,500. And since its preowed acura adds one more year bumper to bumper warranty and one more yaer of power train warranty.
Anyone has any idea if buying a loaner car is a good idea? What all should I be worried about? |

I don't think you can go wrong with this car regardless of the 'loaner car' tag on it. The dealer sounds like good people giving you an extended warranty. I don't know if the price is good but I know the TSX is a quality car. My daughter picked up a 2004 TSX w/38K on it from the original owners for $14,500 last month here in Buffalo, NY. I'm a Honda guy, but I ended up buying her 2002 RSX in the process since she needed a bigger car for her new family.

Did you get a price on a brand new tsx. I personally treat loaner cars as if I owned it. I am sure there are others who do not. Make sure you get all that extended warranty in writing. The price is kinda high-offer them less than that. I am sure the dealer did the proper maintenance on it. I own a 06 tsx, bought new 11/06. It now has 93,000+problem free miles.
