I've been wandering if I can put a GSR head on a b18b1. I wanna give my teg more horses but dont really have the capital for a whole engine swap at this time. And if I can what are the steps and what GSR head would give me more horses(year)? Thanks in advance.

If you do the LS/VTEC correctly, you will spend MORE than an engine swap. A B18C1 motor can be swapped in your car for around $2,800. The LS/VTEC can run as much as $4,000 IF USING NEW PARTS, AND GETTING EVERYTHING NEEDED. You will need the head, preferrably a B16a, $1,300, then a conversion kit from a place like Golden Eagle, the one with ALL parts needed is like $300, then you will need to have both the block and head taken to the machine shop to be planed to ensure a flat mating surface $500, the oil pump needs to be changed also as the B18B1 water pump has 19 teeth, and for the extra RPM's you will need the GSR water pump which has 22 teeth for extra cooling. This conversion has gotten a bad rap over the past few years due to people skimping on parts and taking the cheap way out. I have a LS/VTEC in mine, and bought everything NEW and have been making 700+ hp for over 1 1/2 years and have had NO issues. Now I did buy a JG Enginedynamics bottom end (b18B1) and a fully built Skunk2 head, a Peakboost GT35R turbo kit, AEM EMS, and built transmission, but nothing has broke.
