Ok, I turn 18 in two weeks, and I'm going to be buying my first car then. Ive been thinking about a 2008 TL-S, and I just have a couple questions.































1. How reliable are they? Will it last me a while? or will it give me a lot of problems?































2. I really want to do some customization.. What are some things for under $1500 that I could do?































3. And, I want to get a really good sound system... What would you recommend?















1. Spoiled? Haha.. I've been working since I was 14, and I'm paying for the car by myself.































2. I seen plenty of TL-S customized.

1. They are an extremely reliable vehicle, heck, it's a Honda. Just keep up your maintenance.































2. Best looking custom for the money under $1500? Wheels and tires.































3. Check with a specialty Audio place that lets you hear the car systems in a sound room before you choose one. You don't need a cheap really high wattage system for good sound and lots of power - a higher quality, lower wattage system will produce better sound by far.

For a first car, think about getting a beater and really learning how to drive with it. When you are an accomplished driver, that's the time to get a good car.

The TL has the ELS sound system which supports DVD-A format and is EXTREMELY good. you'll love i once you hear it.































Acura's parent company is HOnda if you didn't know and they are basically known for reliability, however with all the electronic in cars nowadays, almost anything could go wrong although not likely.































personally i think the the TL look fine the way it is, i have seem some customized one but they just never seem to look nice and a bit odd. Although i actually prefer the regular TL rims over the type-s rims, but every has their own opinions.































with $1500 you could probably get some rims (keep in mind that you might need to get tires)...































i would recommend you spending the money on detailing supplies, don't just buy any OTC crap, buy some more professional stuff to keep your acura looking nice, i'm the anal type and i love to keep my cars spotless. i like to get my stuff from detailedimage.com (they have very good guides, but there are other like chemicalguys.com too.































Spend some time on forums and you could learn alot of your car and advice from other members.
