Default should i mod my 04 TL or trade it in for a type-s?

im 16 and my dad got me a 04 silver TL (6-speed manual) five months ago. i got a job and want to mod it but the mods i want is things like the TL type-s headlights and TL type-s foglights in the front. i cant really afford to trade in my TL for a type S even though my TL is paid off. i just got a job and i would have to save all my money and not spend it till summer if i was gonna get a type-s. what should i do?

dude you freaking read my mind...

i couldn't agree anymore with everything you said bro! plus i feel like me and my

TL just got to many memories together to sell away. im keeping this car for my whole life cause my dad hand picked it for me. thanks for the answer bro, i will give you best answer.

any idea how much the acura dealership will charge to put on the TL type-S taillights?

i know how much better the type-s look

but the thing is $$$$

you will lose about $5000 or more if you trade in for a type-s

just play with your own TL

replace it with type-s blackout headlighs and add the foglights

because used car is always kind of fu*ked up in some way

and most likey you will spend coupe thousand in fixing

keep your TL, it may not look good but

you know what your dad bought you this car

he will cry if you say you want to sell this car

ADDED: no idea how much it will cost BUT

i guess it will cost $150-200 to install fog lights

and about $300-$500 for the smoked out light

i am guessing you want front and tail

DO NOT GO TO acura dealership !!!

dealership ALWAYS CHARGE you like 30% more

go to a tuner shop ,although i don't know where you can find it ,but there must be one

i believe the cover is call "smoked out light"

the typ-s tail light look so amazing

also tinting the windows looks amazing

good luck

You may do simple mods but don't spend too much for more HP. Older TLs are FWD so not very good for extra power. I have 08 TLS but I would not need much +50HP since its only FWD.

If you have money for new SH-AWD TL's you can mod engine with quality items and really eat vettes! SH-AWD is a superior Acura technology and with enough engine power, it will beat any car especially in curves.

The dealer would probably rape you for the taillights, try searching up on ebay or going to junk yard, you'll find MUCH better prices there.

But if you are willing to afford dealer prices, i say go for it since your getting new parts.
