you need the entire kit because included in the kit are ballasts which boost the voltage and lowers the amperage, which brings the kelvin temperature to the rating of your kit
i.e: 6000k, 10,000k .....etc the light bulbs would not work because they can only emit the voltage that is provided to them hence why the ballasts are needed. rule of thumb the higher on the kelvin temp you go the more blueish purple lighting you'll get |
