You see I just started attending college and need just a regular car to get me to college back 5 times a week, and I found this really nice 800$ acura integra, would it be worth buying such a old car? That is 19 years old, but keep in mind it is just to drive me to college which is about 12 miles away so about 24 miles 5 days a week, the owners explained to me nothing is wrong but have had minor problems nothing serious, has a small leak which is nature for old cars, I really want this car but I need a dependable one. I have got opinion's from both sides, if any one is really intelligent on cars please let me know, or if you have stories of owning old cars like this let me know.

I bought a 1991 sentra for $5000 back in 1997. I reckon I would be still driving it today if I didn't inherit a better car. It's harder to get older cars inspected by an authorized agent, however. In any event, $800 is a drop in the bucket.

Used Hondas and Acuras are great basic reliable transportation, and some of the best designed vehicles out there. And with a manual transmission, they are fun. How many miles are on this car? I've seen Integras/Accords with well over 250,000 miles and still running.
Like the previous user said, $800 is a drop in the bucket. Bear in mind you are buying a $800 car; don't expect much. Buy the lowest mileage and least non modded car you can afford. |

let me tell you what i personally own a 1990 acura integra ls 2door and that car wont leave me nowhere. it has 173000 miles in it and not but maybe 1nce has left me and thats because the timing belt broke. once you fix it good it wont give you problems. leaks arent much a problem just replace the faulty hose. i have had my car for about 4 years now and have kind of rebuilt the original engine because it used to give me alot of problems but now it dosent it runs good. if you dont want to buy that one i have mine im planning to sell but i am asking for atleast $2000 because i have a new head for the motor and small things like the timing belt, water pump, spark plugs and wires, small things new in it. also i got 16" rims with low profile tires on it and lowered about 2-3 inches but i live in arkansas so you know but is it worth yea just fix that leak.
