Which one of these cars is more reliable and a better buy in the long run? They both look great, but both of them have been in 1 accident according to Carfax. I'll definitely have a mechanic look over the car before buying though.

been in an accident...neither one...find a car that hasn't been in an accident..

well they are both good cars the acura is more luxuryious besides the two year differance, id probaly get the acura just cause its an acura, did u know that they are both made by honda, acura is the luxery model, like ford, mercury, lincon, its the same car

well knowing that both car have been in accident, I will have a real professional mechanic take a look at it just like you said and I will test drive them both for thirty minute. start with the hood. open the hood wide and start the car to see if you can hear any noises from the engine, and check the engine very good along with the engine frame since it have been in accident. also check to see if the engine is not too clean because if the engine is too clean, that mean something is wrong and they trying to cover it by washing it and keeping it clean, so make sure you do that first. however, if the engine is not too clean or not to messy than that is the sort of the engine is fine. thinking about it, a lot of dealer will sell you car with a clean engine so that you can think and say that the car has been taking care off. so don't make them fool you, second drive the car with all windows down so that you can hear anything from the engine outside, transimession or chassis, also check the way the car steer and the balance of the car, than close all the window but don't turn on the radio make sure you don't hear any noise or sound. than decied which car you want. both cars are great and reliable and fuel economy but Acura will cost much to fix but on the other hand, honda will cost less to fix but acura is the lexuries of Honda. my favorite is the Acura TL but the Accord have more aftermark accessories. so idts hard to choose but I like to on the top of the line, so I'll go with Acura TL here. you make your own choice because its your money. well good luck.

umm there is no which is better,, what are you looking for fast. safety. long run i would say honda because of its mileage, and its newer. but acura has a good safety rating. and acura and honda both same company they work together. the accord should be more mpg. however acura is supposed to be a luxury version of honda. but the 2006 honda is great newer better milage and getting better in interior looks. however if you do ruff driving on both cars the transmission is horrible. ohh just go withthe honda all the way
