So my Ls has just begun to make a ticking noise, i believe it needs a valve adjustment, the miles on the car is 130k, i was thinking in doing the job myself, i have the tools except the feeler gauges, now the clearance for an LS is INT .003-.005 and EXT .006-008 so i went to auto parts store to look for them and i found them, it was the 45 degree angled feeler gauges, now the problem was that the set was from .004 and up they did not have .003 so i was wondering if i can still do the adjustment with just .004?


and how much would the cost be if i were to take it to a shop to get it done?
