every time i wash my car water leaks through the sunroof. so one day i went through a car wash so that i would know where it was leaking from and sure enough right in the middle towards the back of the car.

seems like there's a big enough gap between the sunroof glass and the car when i was looking at it from the outside. so i went through the car wash again while pushing the sunroof up and it didn't leak through? so how can i fix this? do i have to take off the sunroof and try to fix it somehow cause raining season is coming around the corner. i live in California by the way.















do i have to take off the rubber piece around the sunroof and use silicon to seal it up more? cause it seems like there is no way to take that rubber piece off unless you take the whole sunroof off? and thats a lot of work. =(

I would suggest taking your sunroof off, and taking it to a hardware store and see if you can get some thicker rubber trim (make sure u measure the gap on all 4 sides, and get the right size rubber stripping)and glue it around the glass of the roof. The worst part is trying to get the old rubber off the window without scratching it or punching your quarter-panel lol.































Also before you glue the rubber strip into place on the glass.....screw it back on the track and test, test, test the sunroof...make sure it doesn't have any problem pulling the glass up and back, because if the rubber is too thick, you might wear out your motor.

Check the drain tubes (usually at all 4 corners of the sunroof base) locate and blow out with air pressure, carefully pour water into trough and see if it runs out of tubes (near wheels)
