Sorry this is most likely one the saddest questions I've ever Asked BUT. here is my problem.
I bought a 91 Integra off someone pretty cheap and only probelm was a bad CV joint. I'm a do it your self-er kinda person I so I changed the CV joints out, but heres where the problem starts, when I pulled out the CV joint some of the Transmission Oil leaked out (didn't suprise me I figured I'd just change it anyways) so once I put the new CV back in I go around looking for the dip stick, didn't have one (5 speed Manual LS) so my friend told me there's a Plug 17mm plug at the 10'o clock position and told me you Put the oil in there. so I find this Bolt and It's stripped too bad to remove w/o damaging it. I call and take it to every Mechanic shop in town and they won't touch it because they need a replacement for it first, so I call the dealer... but the dealer insists it's a 14mm bolt and says I must have Modified it? o-o ... I'm about to lose my mind, I'd appreciate any help.. (the Screws thread count diameter and length would help) I've done engine swaps hundreds of times.. but I've never come across something soo trivial to be soo complicated... like changing the Oil in a car... It's a YS1 Cable Transmission on a 91 integra DA9 LS 5 speed Standard.. any other information needed I'd be glad to provide ... |

The manual trans filler plug on my 95 Integra takes a 17mm socket. My guess is the 14mm mentioned by the dealer is the thread size for that filler plug. Make sure you can get the filler plug off before you drain it ... my filler plug was *really* stuck when I removed it, I used wd40 and a 1/2 drive socket and ujoint and extensions and a *big* breaker bar.
