I have a 95 acura integra and now I'm having trouble with it. I don't know if it's the clutch or the transmission or both. When the car is turned off I can put it into any gear. I can also put it into gear when the car is cold but after driving it for a while it is extremely hard and sometimes impossible to put it into gear. When in gear the car runs fine, it's not sluggish or anything. I really don't know what is going on. I don't want to replace both things if I don't have too (bad economy you know). I've had the car for about 5-6 years now and have not change any of the fluid (besides oil change) only added fluid to whatever fluid was needed. If you need more information from me to give me some advice please ask because I really need help. People keep telling me that it's either the slave cylinder or the clutch master cylinder. How can I determine if this is really the problem. Cause I bled the fluid but that didnt solve anything.

If you have bleed the slave cylinder and don't see any leaks from the slave cylinder on the transmission where it is mounted I would be thinking strongly of the pressure plate and clutch disc is gone.Due to the pressure plate that may be weak is keeping it from going into gear while the engine is running is moreless the problem. But if you have someone step down on the clutch and watch the clutch fork move by pressure applied to the clutch fork from the clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder if it moves far enough all the way down it is going to be the pressure plate, clutch disc and throwout bearing.Take it to a shop if you don't have the know how to do it.There they can re-surface the flywheel and put a new clutch in.hgm20002000@yahoo.com
