Well, i am a teenager. I'm considering a 1997 Integra GS-R. It's used. Green, tan interior, stick shift. Sedan. I don't think it's modded at all, from the pictures i see. Well it has roughly about 95 K miles on it. I was just wondering how you guys like yours? Would you recommend it for me?

I owned a manual 97 GS from 05-07 - which is about the same as yours except for the extra 40 horses.Great and reliable car. BURNS more oil than Saddam in the Gulf War (you might be too young for that reference). The main reason I got rid of it was because it was way too light. You get t-boned in that thing, fuggedaboutit you're ass is dead.If I were you, I would hunt down a nice mid-nineties 2-door Legend. Those are hot cars, decent on gas, look pimp, and it can take an F-150.

Had a '97 5spd for 11 years, bought new. Great car, fun to drive, great gas mileage. I didn't feel as safe in it as I did in my other car, 2000 Nissan Maxima. That may of been because a few years after I bought it a woman ran a stop sign in a big-a** Dodge Ram pickup and I nailed her. I hit her so hard I pushed her into an embankment and both my airbags fired. After I came to my senses I walked away from it with no injuries. In that sense the Integra did a good job of protecting me in a straight on crash. Not sure how it would hold up if I'm hit sideways. I never felt entirely safe on the Interstate but that's probably because the car is light, the other cars on the road are massive and the Integra is small. If you don't drive the Interstate or other superhighways much the Integra is plenty safe. 95k is not alot of mileage, just make sure you get the maintenance records and it's been properly maintained.Have it checked by a competent mechanic just in case.I'd run a carfax report just to make sure it's not been in any major accident or it's been flooded.I traded mine in in 2008, had 91k miles on it, few minor problems but my feeling is I could of drove it another 90k miles with nothing major happening. Make sure you research the price and don't overpay, there's lot of them out there.Good Luckps: My Integra did not burn a drop of oil, sounds like somebody was abusing their Integra.
