its called rfi, radio frequency interference. it can be caused by anything that has electricity going through it, creating magnatism. One of the biggest problems is spark plug wires. Check to make sure there is no tears, all the insulation is there, and there are no cracks. Other then that, its hard as hell to try to find whats causing it. Another problem could be that the connections on the speaker wires are not all that great, so you may want to check that out too. (i have had both happen on personal cars, as well as fixing it for other people) I am an automotive technician, and believe me, hope its one of those, cuz if its not, you will have a hell of a time trying to find the problem

i think what you are hearing is engine noise when you give it the gas does it speed up and slow down the more or less pedal you give it? There is a resitorunder the hood ( i think ) There are some tires that can cause radio noise too there is a special powder that you can put in your tires to stop that part of it.

It could be a number of things. However you can buy a noise reducer at any car audio shop hook it to the power wires and BAM no noise!!!
