I have an Acura TSX 2005 and I just lost my keys which had my remote keyless entry. My first question is do you know of any generic replacements that I can use? To replace at Acura is quite expensive. Also there is a 2004 Remote Keyless Entry that is for sale on Ebay. Will that work for my car even though it is not the right year? Thanks for the help

The remote is coded only for your car, so you are going to have to bite the bullet and go to the Acura dealer.

If you only lost the remote, you would just need to find an acura remote with the same FCC - ID. If you need to replace the key, there is an RFID chip that can only be programmed at the dealer. The pricing is all over the board though, and you ought to call around to a few dealerships to see what you can get it done for. Don't forget about the gray valet key that came with your car, if you need a key in a pinch, you might want to find that one.
