does a 1989 acura use r134 or r12 ?

Unless it's been converted, it's R12. The switchover to R134 was in the early to mid 90's.

Your vehicle uses R-12. It is unavailable for sale and is illegal to purchase.

R12 is not illegal to purchase if you have a HVAC license.

r12 aint no more so its 134//change it over and dont worry

R12, but it's not to expensive to have it converted to R134.
