It has 190,000 miles on it an was the best car ever. Besides normal brakes and oil changes I never put a penny into it. Until now. I put a used tranny in it and by the luck of the draw, that one went up right after my warranty was up. I just cant see putting another one in. I have the worst luck ever! Anyway, it's in impound cause they towed it the other day with bad tags. So I cant take it to carmax to see what they would give me for it. Any ideas of places that buy cars. Im in Maryland. First, you have to weigh the option of paying the impound and tow charges, verses what you might be able to get for the vehicle. Option 1:give impound yard title for car and sign over your rights of the vehicle. Option 2: pay impound and tow charges plus another tow from impound yard and list car for sale, try craigslist.com., or call local auto salvage yards or metal scrap companies to see how much you can get for vehicle. Option 3: get vehicle from impound yard and park it in your front yard, let weeds grow around it, thats how rednecks do it....lol. Seriously I just sold my 95 chev. lumina to a salvage yard for $125, thats the most I could get out of it, they will scrap the vehicle for its metal value. Good Luck
