Can someone tell me? is the type S a sport package?

The type s is the sportier version of the RSX. I love the RSX Type S. This one 20 year old dude has one and it looks nice. I would like to get one. But who knows. I say the Acura RSX is the best Acura ever but Acura stopped the production in 2006-2007.

The type-s has 40 more horse power, all have leather, a bose stereo system with in dash 6 cd changer, and a 6 speed manual trans... it's an all around better car than the base model.I don't know why I got a thumbs down... the question was what is the difference between the type-s and the base RSX, I answered the question. What more could they need?

For the 2006 model year vehicles Honda switched to the Rev 8/04 SAE standards for measuring hp. The base RSX for 2006 was rated at 155 hp (116 kW) and the Type-S was rated at 201 hp (150 kW). In 2005 the RSX Type-S received camshafts, b-pipe and muffler, 4.77 final drive ratio, crankshaft pulley and the intake snorkel duct from the Japanese model Honda Integra Type-R. The rev-limit was also increased from 8100 rpm to 8300 rpm. Another major change made to the inline VTEC-i engine was the use of a timing chain rather than a timing belt, which reduced maintenance needs.

i have an rsx s and it is much better than the base model the leather is nice and its 6 speed and best of all the sound system its amazing for a stock system im going to put another sub in but it comes with 5 bose speakers and 1 of which is an 8in sumwoofer it bangs but not enough for me but its better than most stock sound systems also the 6 cd disc changer is great and because it all bose the speakers will never blow (trust me i beat the crap out of them) and it sounds great all the time

diffrent motors. the rsx has a k20a3 thats got about 160 hp and the type-s has a k20a2 thats got around 200 hp.
