I'm thinking of purchasing a 2001 Acura TL (fairly certain it's a TL) with approximately 156,000k on it, with a pricing of $8,500-8,800 (retail not private party sale). I don't really know much about these cars, their value, performance, problems with these specific cars, etc. I know they're made by Honda which is a plus. I have heard that there were problems with the original transmission, but that it should have been replaced under the warranty extension, as well as timing/spark plugs/ valve replacement at 105k. Any insight from anyone? Thanks in advance.
