Default What kind of motor does a 89 integra have in it?

do you think it would be better than the motor that came stock with my 92 accord ex. i think its an f22 something i cant remember.

D16A1 would be the correct answer if your in the united states and the motor is stock,Both the accord and integra were non-vtec for those years.the integra is DOHC (dual overhead cam) 1.6 Liter. 120hpand the accord is SOHC (single cam) 2.2 Liter 130hpconsidering that it is more than a half liter smaller engine and only 10 hp less i would say the D16A1 is better.plus i am partial to the DOHC motors.

is a b16 engine,b series is dual cam, most integras have thosethose year was a 1.6 liter

the 89 integra had the d16a (dohc) or zc (dohc) in it...this motor is good when swaped into a 89-91 civic....but not into an accord....if your planning to do it to the accord..id rather you look into the 94/94 f22 vtec motor...if not that then the h22...
