Default 1997 four cylender acura integra. will not start!?

my car has been running fine until i tried to start it today. it tries to turn over but it cant. also when i try to start it there is a strong smell of gas. any ideas?!?

flooded? try pushing the gas pedal to the floor THEN starting it.
