My wife's Acura CL is beginning to show some bad signs. The transmission will over-rev in the middle of driving. When this happens, both the "Check Engine" and "TCS" lights will come on. She can temporarily relieve this most of the time by pulling over and restarting the vehicle. I am really hoping this does mean time for a new transmission. Any thoughts? Please help!

Those are sign of a bad transmission. Take it to the dealer ASAP. Those transmissions are known to lock up at highway speeds.The transmission warranty was extended to 7 years/100,000mi.You can sign up to Acura's owners link. Sorry but your tranny is dying and i think its too late to be covered by warranty. I just had my tranny die on me and i took it to the dealership they said my warranty was up 2 months ago. so i talked to the manager at van nuys keys he was a very nice guy and decided to charge me only 900 bucks for a brand new factory transmission, instead of 2500. I suggest you try to talking to the manager and explain your situation and hopefully they can help you out. Gd luck
