the 3 most basic options! 1. cold air intake2. exhaust3. headersfor intakes i recommend AEM intakes, for exhaust that is up to you, go to teamintegra.net they have hundreds of articles you can read and learn on which exhaust is right for you, and same on the headers go to teamintegra.net

It all depends on what you want to do with the car. If you want to go a little faster and make the car sound better get an aftermarket Intake/Exhaust/Header. If you want better handling to drive fast around corners then go with a nice suspension set up like ground control coilovers with koni yellow shocks. Also check out honda-tech.com. Lots of info on there

Stick with the well known brand names and you wont be disjointedness. Stay away from the cheap ebay knockoff crap.

My first and foremost suggestion is to do some suspension work. No use getting a bunch of power that you can't control. I'd get some coilovers (eg. Tein Super Sport) or a spring/shock combo like Ground Control springs with Koni Yellows or Tokiko Illuminas. If you have some $$ leftover, I'd get a rear sway bar (eg. Skunk2) to stiffen up teh rear. Your car will have an aggressive stance and handle like it's on rails! If you want power adders, there's always the standard 3: intake, header, exhaust. They won't give a huge increase, but your car will "breathe" better giving you better throttle response. Intake - I'd recommend the AEM cold air intake. Make sure you get the extra filter that helps prevent hydrolock. It's a bit costly, but good insurance from ending up with a broken engine.Header - DC Sports 4-2-1, or 4-1. The 4-2-1 will give a bump low to mid, and thus better for daily driver while the 4-1 is more oriented mid to high end of rev range.Exhaust - I like the Apexi exhausts personally. Something will good sound with throttle, but not ear-deafening. Also something without drone (i.e. a constant faint humming sound) during regular driving b/c that would drive me nuts.Good luck!

As stated Intake, Header and Exhaust are the first steps and then get a tune. See the guide below for further details

OP: Figure out what you want to do with the car before you start dumping money into it. Don't build your car around your motor--build your motor for the intended purpose of the car. |
