Default Is it illegal to have 3k hid's on my 95 acura integra's high beams?

I've seen tegs online and on the road with 8k low's and yellow high beams. Is this illegal or do they just have film over the lenses? I live in tampa florida

You may want to check you local laws because a lot of people on here will just tell you what they know from their states. And you will also get people telling you they are illegal just because they don't like it when people add them to their car. so just check you local law and make sure the kit you buy is top quality and that it has a wire harness adapter so that the bulbs don't burn up you stock wire harness.

in some states, in fact most states, it is illegal to install aftermarket add on hid lights. Essentially this is done b/c they are brighter and some people do not install them right, thereby causing a driving hazard to other drivers. The whole issue is the potential for glare to other drivers. that being said, if your install is done right, no one will know they are aftermarket if they point down at the right angles. but if you do some stupid shit driving and a cop sees those lights and knows they weren't offered by the factory in the year you had the car, you will get a ticket for them.

Just get some 8k low beams, you'll never need your brights.
