I have an Acura TSX 2004, I was just wondering if I have a timing belt or chain?

It is true, most modern cars have timing belts but your TSX is certainly one exception. It has a timing chain.The link I provided below is a good source of OEM parts to keep your Acura running like it was designed to. This particular link shows, beyond a shadow of doubt, that your TSX does NOT have a timing belt.Your owners manual may not specify that the car is equipped with a timing chain but you can infer that it does simply because the vehicle maintenance does not list the timing belt. All cars with timing belts must change those belts at a particular interval... it used to be around 60,000 miles but better materials has upped the interval to around 100,000 miles.Timing chains wear out too but they don't always break. The easiest way to see the wear on a timing chain is with a timing light. The timing marks on a worn timing chain tend to float around under the light whereas a new, tight chain shows the marks to be rock solid.
