When I make a sharper left turn I hear a metal on metal scraping sound coming from the front driver side wheel well. It only happens when I turn left and not when I turn right and when I straighten out the noise goes away. thank you for the help

It sounds like a CV joint is going on it, more then likely if you take a look at the outer boot on the drive axle you'll find that the rubber boot is worn or damaged etc.You can check the drive axel boots yourselve if you have the wheels turned and look. Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way more then likely if one CV joint is gone on the one side the other side is going on it too.The drive axles you buy for it should have a life time warranty on them and keep in mind the rebuilt drive axles can cost much less then the new ones and can have the exact same warranty's so shop around.

You might want to take your wheel off and check your brake pads there. When the pads get low, the metal scrapes as a warning sign. The reason you are hearing it when you turn is because the load from the turn is flexing the rotor and causing contact with the pads.Front brake pads for your car, with lifetime warranty, $25-$30 at Advance or AutoZone or whatever Auto parts store you choose.
