I bought a 2003 Acura TL Type S and the radio is showing Err 2 on the display. I heard you can disconnect the battery and it will ask for your unlock code. I do not have this code but I have the serial number of the radio. It is 30044592. Does anyone know how to fix this or what the unlock code might be?

You can sometimes get the unlock code from the dealer. honda works the same way. I found my unlock code in my trunk on a white sticker, there is a five digit code. Acura is probably the same way. Sometimes its in the door jams, sometimes in the glove compartment. Look around. Its most likely in there somewhere.And you don't have to disconnect the battery. If the radio is on long enough, it was reset on its own. I think you have to have it on for something like 40 minutes.

In your owners manuel there is an 800 number for acura you can give them the vin number and they will give it to you i have the same problem with my rdx, if that dont work there is a web site that you can go to that will sell radio codes for about 25 dollars www.radio-code.com
