so, my acura drive for abit runs great everything works great. But when the car stops at a light or stop sign, the temp gauge fly's up to close to the red line. And a boat load of steam keeps coming out of my hood, after like tow minuets of idleing, the steam stops, along with the hot temp. I checked the radiator, it doesnt leak, the pump seems to work, thermostat may be old, but seems ot work, thers a dripping coming form around the resivoir fo the coolant, after i drive it and open the hood, the resivoir bubbles alot. please help me out with sum suggestions

Sounds like your water pump may need replaced. This would cause all of the problems that you had indicated.

Could be a head gasket

It sounds like you need to replace your thermostat! If your water-pump isn't making horrid sounds and there is water in your radiator and your car is overheating, I can't possibly imagine anything else.

Sounds to me like a cracked head or a blown head gasket.

i would check to see if your radiator fan works i had that problem in my 93 legend
