Got a 06 Type-S. RSX's are starting to become harder to find due to the fact that they are no longer in production (the type-S is too mechanically similar to the current Civic Si albeit the absence of a limited slip differential). Even still, there are plenty that are still on the market, whether they be dealer owned or privately owned. The prices obviously can range from a lot to a little, but if you need a ceiling, i would say you can expect to see them for under 14-15K depending on the mileage. Check Kelley Blue Book for better estimates.I personally think they are great cars, but they do have their issues. The Type-S recommends premium and I highly recommend it also. If you use anything other than premium, the ECU will retard the spark timing causing you to lose like 10% of your horsepower (roughly 20 hp on a type-s) and also it will dirty up the engine. The base model can handle regular, but again you'll need fuel system cleaner regularly to keep the engine clean. Second, the manual gearboxes have issues sometimes with 3rd gear, idk why but its some type of design flaw that'll cause it to sporadically i do mean sporadically have trouble getting into 3rd (at least with type-s models). That and insurance is expensive for RSX's. Lastly, the stock tires suck...replace when you get the chance. On the plus side, the motor is fun to rev, it's fairly responsive for a front wheel drive car and the trunk is pretty damn large with the seats folded down. I've been able to fit five in the back (somewhat uncomfortably and I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS) with the seats down. 200/201 (02-04 type s/ 05-06 type s with new SAE standard) hp or 160 hp is great for a daily driver and you can squeeze 30+mpg with some restraint. I've had no reliability issues and the car has been through quite a bit already. If you're looking for something a little more frugal, maybe just get a civic. The RSX and the civic are pretty similar mechanically to one another. In the past what used to separate them was the engine. Nowadays, the new civic are pretty much just as good as the RSX and that's also why the new civic Si(which is cheaper, and just as good if not better than the RSX) has cause the disappearance of the RSX model. Hope this helps.
